Primary School - Altavilla Vicentina

This project was designed for a competition run by the Altavilla Vicentina City Council. It is a complex of three buildings, two intended for classrooms and the third for facilities shared with the local community including a gymnasium, auditorium and a food court.

The layout of the three structures is hierarchical. Classrooms for children 6 to 9 years of age are located in the more protected area at the back of the complex, while classrooms for children 10 to 12 are in the main building facing the street. Each educational building faces its own outdoor area, allowing each age group independent outdoor recreational activities.

The third building, shared with the public, is self-contained and located to ease access during after school hours. The complex is accessible through two independent entry points ensuring maximum use and access to the complex.
